Appointment with Underwriter - Update on SSN
|
Just a reminder that no one may conduct a settlement unless they are appointed with Stewart Title Guaranty Company. In order to appoint an individual you must provide us (via USMail) with a legible copy of the current license. We cannot appoint if an expired license is provided. We no longer require that the license information include a social security number.
Until the license is received and processed in our office the individual may not conduct any settlements where Stewart Title Guaranty Company is the underwriter. |

Insured Closing Letter (ICL) 002 - STG Limitations CPL/002
|
During the upcoming days you will notice a change to your default insured closing letter form number. All letters on Maryland and DC property should only be issued with the 002 - STG Limitations CPL/02 letter.
The 001 Single Transaction Insured Closing Letter may be issued only through Houston and you should email the information to Regina Jones at regjones@stewart.com.

Baltimore City Recordings - July 19 and 20, 2007
|

We have received information from the Land Records Office in Baltimore City asking that any recordings received back in the mail with a recording date of July 19 and 20, 2007 be returned immediately to the Clerks' Office. A number of these documents were not scanned or indexed into the Land Records Optix System. As a result it may not be possible to reference or copy these documents from their system. |
